Biography Clemens Pasch

Clemens Pasch (Sevelen am Rhein 1910- 1985 Düsseldorf) was a German artist who initially was trained as a draftsman. In 1929, Pasch worked in the painting department of the city theater in Krefeld under Fritz Huhnen. Following that experience, he embarked on travels throughout Europe, during which he created his first independent artworks. From 1937 onward, he shifted his focus to sculpture, receiving training at the Art Academy of Düsseldorf and later in Cologne. In 1942, Pasch relocated to Munich, where he became a master's student under Professor Bernhard Bleeker at the Academy of Fine Arts, a position he held until 1946. In 1952, with a travel grant from the Ministry of Culture of North Rhine-Westphalia, he journeyed through Italy, Spain, and Greece, gathering impressions and inspiration. Pasch was a member of the Rheinischen Sezession, the Duisburger Sezession, and the Neuen Münchener Kunstgenossenschaft.
