Biography Anthony Klitz
Klitz (Southport 1917-Dublin 2000) was an Irish Man who made many city portraits from mainly London. He is known for his foggy atmosphere. Muted Palettes and blured edges are common in his works. He showed interest in architecture from the beginning and was interested to do his study in this field. His pictures show a fine but restrained sense of colour and he is engagingly sensitive to the London scene. Whether it is Horse Guards Parade or the River or here the trafalgar square Klitz captured that strange pearly light which is the secret of so much of London's grace.
