Biography Painter Ad Kikkert 

Ad Kikkert (Rotterdam 1914 - 1995 Brouwershaven) was an impressionist painter. He was educated at the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam and was also taught by H.F. Boat in Haarlem. Kikkert painted landscapes, still lifes, cityscapes, river landscapes, harbor views and interiors. He lived and worked in Rotterdam for a large part of his life, but also made several trips to Turkey and France. The painter Ad Kikkert was a member of the Association of The Hague Watercolorists (1955-1995) and the painting society Pulchri Studio in The Hague. He exhibited both at home and abroad and is represented in numerous collections of institutions, companies and private individuals. This ink and pen on paper was made in 1947.
