From the KPN-collection
Piet Dirkx followed the Academie voor Beeldende Vorming (Tilburg), Nationaal Hoger Instituut voor Schone Kunsten (Antwerpen) and Jan van Eyck Academie (Maastricht). He is a conceptual artist, installation artist, ceramic designer, monumental artist, environmental artist and (abstract) painter. Dirkx's work is an eternal investigation into form and colour, often through a combination and entanglement of texts and drawings that come together in notebooks and cigar boxes that have been transformed into installations, 'wall works' or ‘just’ paintings. This ‘painting’ is simple and intriguing at the same time. Once this piece of art was part of the PTT / KPN collection.
